Bellagio Fountains

Bellagio Fountains Las VegasArguably, the most popular regular event, free or otherwise, on The Las Vegas Strip, has to be the Fountains of Bellagio. Upping the ante of the Mirage Volcano, The Bellagio invested nearly $40 million in the fountains.

The water, music, and light extravaganza is presented as an entertaining art form, that is literally mesmerizing. From a sense of calmness to full exhilaration, this is the world’s greatest water show. A variety of music selections are featured such as Lee Greenwood’s I’m Proud To Be An American, Celine Dion’s My Heart Will Go On (the hit from the Titanic movie), Frank Sinatra’s Luck Be A Lady, Broadway, and Classical hits (Click on the picture to the right to see a video and a list of popular songs performed).

Not only does changing the music vary the performance, so does the desert wind which helps shape the computer controlled fountain spray. In the desert (you can’t remember your name – just checking your age…), water is always a concern and The Fountains of Bellagio have been an improvement in that supply by replacing the Dunes golf course which stood in this very spot and used ten times more water. The water in The Fountains of Bellagio is also recycled.

Las Vegas Strip: Passing out Escort & Stripper Cards

January 7, 2024 By Elvis

Visitors to Las Vegas are familiar, if not necessarily happy, with the “canvassers” on the Strip. You know them as the sometimes aggressive promoters of adult services. Most of these men and women are illegal immigrants, and identification checks are routine. They are paid a little over four dollars an hour, which lets them afford […]
